Votes are being tallied for the August issue!

Update: We are no longer accepting ballots in "The Best of Indiana" survey. The deadline was May 31.

We are now in the process of tallying up the scores of ballots we received through the mail and via e-mail. We will also be randomly selecting three names from those submitting ballots for the $100 cash prizes.

Thank you to all who participated. Please check out the August issue for the results.

Here's what we published in the May issue:

Here’s your chance to once again tell us your Indiana favorites — and also win one of three $100 cash prizes.

Give us at least four opinions on the ballot at the right, and your name will be added to the drawing for the prizes. Three lucky readers will be selected randomly for the $100 prizes.

This is our fourth go-round for the “Readers’ Choice Awards,” recognizing the “Best of Indiana” as voted on by you. We last brought you this feature in 2005.

Our goal is to highlight the unique businesses, places, culture and countryside that make us proud to call Indiana “home.” For this reason, we hope you will avoid national chains when answering questions and instead tell us about the places you can only find in Indiana.

We hope you enjoy the contest and learn more about your state in the process. And be sure to vote for your favorites and encourage your co-op neighbors to do the same.
Vote in as many categories as you feel knowledgeable, but keep in mind that only ballots with at least four legitimate votes will be eligible for the prize drawings.

Complete the entry ballot on the back cover of the printed version of the May 2009 Electric Consumer and send it to: The Best of Indiana, c/o Electric Consumer,
P.O. Box 24517, Indianapolis, IN 46224.

You can also send us your votes to the below categories via e-mail to ec@indremcs.org.

Only one ballot per household will be counted and entered for the prize drawings.
All entries should be postmarked or submitted by May 31. The results will be featured in the August issue.
