How to make your own stress balls

Back to school time is bound to stress you out even a little … what with new teachers, new classmates,  a new grade and maybe even a new school!

Put a squeeze on your stress with stress balls you can make yourself using Model Magic modeling material, balloons and rubber bands. Here’s how:

• Cut about an inch off the end of the balloon you would normally blow into.

• Stretch the opening of the balloon with your fingers and begin stuffing the inside of the balloon with the Model Magic. It’s easier if you take little snake-shaped pieces of Model Magic and put them in the balloon a little at a time. You may need to squeeze the balloon while you’re stuffing it to redistribute the modeling material as you work on it.

• Once you have enough Model Magic in the balloon to make a stress ball that fits comfortably in your hand, tie the open end closed with a small rubber band.

You can tie curling ribbon or strips of yarn over the rubber band if you’d like.
