turkey.jpgGet in the spirit of Thanksgiving by creating Clay Pot Turkeys.

These cute little decorations are so fun to make you may want to make enough for everyone who will be at your family’s Thanksgiving meal.

To make each one, you’ll need:
• A small wooden ball
• A small clay pot
• A few fall color leaves or feathers
• A small red foam sheet
• A small orange foam sheet
• Scissors
• Glue
• A fine point marker

Instructions:
1. Turn the clay pot upside down. Glue the wooden ball on the bottom of the pot (which is now the top side).
2. Cut a tiny triangle shape out of the orange foam sheet. It will be the turkey’s beak. Glue it on the ball.
3. With the marker, draw two eyes on the ball.
4. Cut out an oval shape out of the red foam sheet to use as the turkey’s wattle. Glue it on the clay pot, under the turkey’s head.
5. Glue leaves or feathers onto the back of the turkey. Fan them out as shown.
6. Cut out two turkey foot shapes from orange foam sheet and glue onto clay pot as shown.
